To my beautiful Tabby, Jerry, Susie and Ollie,

Since I can't tell you how much I love you in person, I have done so in a different time and place. Perhaps one day you might read or listen to your adventure that cements you all forever in this genre-defining New Fable epic.

Tabby appears in its first book (Dooven Book 4) as Tabby Miss Cakes, a clinically insane and extremely violent librarian; Jerry in its second as Jeffemeries, a baker who makes buns with petrol; Susie arrives in its third as Miss Bearthzy-Bells, an artistic genius savant; and Ollie enters in its fourth title as Panoli Rueben, a world-famous philosopher.

I chose these chapters from the tetralogy’s fourth book because you all come together in the spirit of who I imagine you have become. I think about you all the time, and although I can’t hug you conventionally, I can hug you all literally.

I love you all, always.
