Nové is an ultra-portable, single-file, horizontally scrolling word processor designed for creative writers. A free, streamlined expression of the Novelos engine, it addresses the fundamental flaw of modern writing software: the use of vertically scrolling portrait pages on landscape monitors. This conventional layout wastes valuable screen real estate and results in poor pagination.
Nové offers a revolutionary solution. As a single-file application, it redefines digital writing through a minimalist, beautiful aesthetic, completely portable, cross-platform function that works both on and offline.
Novelos Manuscript Mode
Manuscript Mode is the writing interface and the heart of Novelos. It is designed to be a distraction-free, immersive writing environment. It mirrors the book-spread layout of the portable Noveli word processor while layering powerful, context-aware AI agents on top of text input. Novelos does not write for you. Rather, it analyzes the entire manuscript as it evolves to learn the author's tone, vocabulary and rhythm to ensure all AI suggestions match the established voice.
Novelos Assembly Mode
Assembly Mode is the structural backend of Novelos. It replaces the traditional binder or folder structure with an intelligent and interconnected database powered by AI. It uses Intelligent Linking to ensure that notes, characters and world-building details evolve dynamically as the manuscript is written. It is where an author's broad and rough ideas for a book can be effectively dumped before writing an opening word, to become intelligently built into a structure from which book chapters, character and world building can be clarified.
