In a sublime example of pioneering post-noire cinematic architecture, Thomas explains the sheer brilliance behind Dooven Muzak’s tendency to only contain two chords. Dooven Muzak is music written to support the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels and is part of his Polyauthoric approach to writing, in which additional supportive media is created to help conjure and convey the Dooven Books’ story world. While Dooven Muzak, and to some extent its cousin, Fable Pop, might have stylistic variability, it’s interesting to learn that harmonically, it hasn’t any. Watch the video here.
